Premium Basecoat is breathable, high strength and durable. EWI-225 is EWIPro’s finest basecoat adhesive, and can be used for a range of solutions. For example, this product is ideal as a basecoat/adhesive for Mineral Wool, Kingspan K5 and Wood Fibre insulation boards, or as a render-only solution for a range of substrates, including render carrier board.

The adhesive contains white Portland cement and a high concentration of polymer-modified binders – making it stronger than other basecoat adhesives, such as EWI-220. Once the basecoat has dried it provides an incredibly strong and flexible reinforcement layer; we therefore highly recommend this product for ‘render only’ systems.

You can use our Premium Basecoat for the following two purposes:

An adhesive used to create the reinforcement basecoat layer in render only or Mineral Wool, EPS, Kingspan K5 and Wood Fibre EWI systems
An adhesive used to fix Mineral Wool (Rockwool) to a substrate.
Premium Basecoat is prepared in the same way regardless of whether it is being used as a basecoat or an adhesive for fixing the Mineral Wool insulation boards to the substrate. The Premium Basecoat comes as a dry mix in 25kg so needs to be mixed with clean, cold water ( >5.9 litres) prior to use.

We suggest filling a large bucket with the correct quantities of water prior to adding the dry basecoat mixture. Use a paddle mix to mix the basecoat with water until you have achieved an even consistency mortar. Leave the bucket for 5-10 minutes after mixing, and then mix again before using the adhesive.

EWI-075 Silicone Render is one of our most popular Silicone Render products. This polymer modified, ready-to-use render is normally applied externally to produce a decorative finish on buildings. The render is suitable for use on brick, concrete, render carrier boards, traditional plasters, gypsum substrates and on external wall insulation systems.

EWI Pro Silicone Render is highly breathable. This makes it ideal for application on external wall insulation systems where breathable insulants have been used. For example, Mineral Wool or Wood Fibre insulation.

The Render is also flexible, meaning you can apply it as part of a render-only system (i.e. no insulation). Unlike thicker sand and cement or monocouche renders, our Silicone Render provides a robust, long-lasting decorative finish that is unlikely to crack over time.

EWI-075 Silicone Render is available in thousands of different colours (e.g. RAL or NCS colours). If the colour you are looking for is not displayed above, please call us on 0204 5716484.

You can achieve a range of finishes from the following render grain sizes: 0.5mm, 1mm, 1.5mm, 2mm and 3mm. The 0.5mm grain will give your property a smoother look whereas going for our 3mm grain will give a more textured look.

Please note: We do not accept returns on tinted products because our tinted renders are made-to-order. Renders that have not been tinted can be returned as per our normal T&Cs.

On receipt of your tinted render, please ensure the colour is as expected before application. We recommend buying one of our render samples before purchasing to ensure you are 100% happy with your chosen colour.

Colours from different batches may vary slightly. To avoid an uneven finish, mix tubs before application.

10mm Hammer Fixing with Plastic Pin is used to fasten polystyrene EPS foam to category A, B, C, D and E substrates. Fast, easy and reliable fixing. Telescopic design, guarantees its proper fixing in the the substrate and flush fitting of the collar with the EPS insulation. The pin is made from reinforced fibreglass, which do not break during installation, even when heavily hammered. The large amount of pocket adhesives on the telescopic collar increases the adhesiveness of the mortar.
